The Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope mission is to improve the quality of life of local individuals and their families who are touched by cancer, providing need-based financial assistance, information resources and access to services and support groups in the community.
During the past 10 years, this grass-roots nonprofit organization has provided over $1.1 million dollars to help over 1,000 cancer patients and their families. Seventy-one percent of their funds raised go towards their mission to assist cancer patients with their basic living expenses, such as rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, groceries, auto and health insurance and other ordinary monthly living expenses. No patient and their family should need to make a choice between receiving life-saving cancer treatment of paying the rent. Our help relieves this type of stress from effecting the patient and family.
