Palm Beach, Fla. – August 1, 2017 – Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, the organization easing the financial burden for qualified local cancer patients by paying their non-medical bills and providing information resources, is proud to announce the Slate of Officers for the 2017-2018 Board of Directors . They are as follow: Chris Cox- Board Chair, Laura King- Treasurer, Stacy Coffee-Thorne- Secretary, Judi Richards-1st Vice Chair, Don Urschalitz, 2nd Vice Chair, Judi Richards-1st Vice Chair and Nancy Mobberley, Immediate Past Chair.

Chris Cox, Board Chair: resides in Juno Beach, FL and is a Broker Associate with Douglas Elliman in Palm Beach and Jupiter, FL. Chris is active in the Realtor Associations at the local and state level, and served locally as the 2012 President of the Jupiter, Tequesta, Hobe Sound Association of Realtors, which has now merged with the Miami Association of Realtors. She currently serves as a Director for Florida Realtors. In addition, she served on the Regional MLS Board of Directors and two state Florida Realtors committees and is Co-Chair of the Leadership Academy for the local association. Chris received her Florida Estate License in 2014. She graduated from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC with a B.S. in Textile Technology and a B.A. in Textiles/Marketing from the University of Akron, Akron, OH.

Laura King- Treasurer: has been with First Citizens Bank since 2004. Her current role with the bank is Senior Vice President, Manager Commercial Banking Southeast Florida. She has been in banking, and also a resident of Palm Beach County, since 1994. Laura is also very active in the community. She is a member of the of the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Small Business Advisory Council, Business to Business for Women and serves on the Board of Directors, Palm Beach County Medical Society, Business Development Board, CREW (Commercial Real Estate women) and serves on the Programs Committee and BNI as Chapter President and Area Assistant Director. She earned her degree in Business Administration from Palm Beach Community College.

Stacy Coffee-Thorne- Secretary: is a Certified Paralegal at the law office of Doane and Doane, P.A., in Palm Beach Gardens. She has been part of their staff since 2010 when she moved to Florida from Ohio. Prior to her move, Stacy was involved with several non-profit and civic organizations. She served as a Guardian-ad-Litem for the juvenile court system of Columbiana County, Ohio. Additionally, she served as the Director of the Salem Kids Center which is an organization that provides a safe and secure environment in a supervised setting for children during visitation with estranged parents. In Florida, Stacy has been a volunteer and member of the board of directors for the Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope since 2012. She enjoys involvement with her church and participation in related activities. Stacy also spends many weekends and evenings performing with the local quintet, “Generation Gap.”  

Judi Richards-1st Vice Chair: Richards, of Palm Beach Gardens, has built a reputation for being a fundraiser extraordinaire and advocates for her work with several nonprofit agencies, including the American Heart Association, the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Tri-County Animal Rescue and the American Red Cross. For more than 18 years, Richards has demonstrated leadership and vision in her roles, inspiring others to contribute to worthwhile missions and communicating the agencies’ impact on the community.

Don Urschalitz-2nd Vice Chair: Donald is a founding member of One World Realty, Inc. along with his partners, Chip and Nancy Lubeck since 1975.  He has been a resident of Broward and Palm Beach Counties for over 38 years and has lived in the Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter area since 1985. Donald is a licensed Florida Realtor® and a member of the Florida Association of Realtors®, The National Association of Realtors® and holds the following designations:   Accredited Buyers Representative Certification, Resort and Second-Home Specialist Certification, e-Pro Certification and One America, Cultural Diversity Designation from the National Association of Realtors®.   The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council ("REBAC") of the National Association of Realtors® who meets the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

Nancy Mobberley, Immediate Past Chair: Nancy Mobberley founded Financial Investment Network, Inc. in 1999 and brings over 30 years of experience in the investment and financial planning industry. Nancy is active in various professional organizations and contributes to her community, which brings a balance to both her practice and personal life. Nancy was named 2009 "Woman of the Year" by the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Council.  Nancy is the founder of Business to Business for Women.

Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope, Inc. is a Palm Beach County not-for-profit organization, which eases the burden of qualified local cancer patients by paying their non-medical bills and providing information resources. The primary focus of the Cancer Alliance is to help patients with their living expenses, such as rent and mortgage, utilities, auto and health insurance, car payments, food and other basic necessities.
