At 6 years of age, Kingston L. is a very energetic and sweet boy with a million-dollar smile who's battling Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma. When diagnosed in December 2020, his parents’ world turned upside down especially since his father who works as a barber was struggling due to the impact the Coronavirus pandemic had in his industry.
Noah C. is 2 years old. He was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney, an extremely rare type of kidney cancer comprising 3% of all pediatric renal tumors. Noah is treated at Children’s Hospital at Palms West where his very aggressive treatment requires him to be admitted every week for several days not allowing his mother to be able to work.
Maryuri A. is 42 years old and was diagnosed with stage 4 Uterine Leiomyosarcoma. Maryuri started chemotherapy in June of 2021 and became very ill from her treatments. Unfortunately, she had to stop working and currently on a work leave of absence with no more vacation or sick time available and her husband’s income isn’t enough to care for their family and her treatment.
Anthony C. is 59 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in June of 2021 currently undergoing chemotherapy. Anthony contacted CAHH for help as he’s unemployed without health insurance trying to make ends meet and pay for his medicine.
