At age 19, Alexis M. from Riviera Beach, was planning to attend the University of Miami to study music until he was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2016. His chemo treatments were aggressive, leaving him so weak that his mother had to leave her job to care for her sick son full-time, creating a significant financial crisis. CAHH helped the family by paying their rent and car insurance for one year.
